2019-02-18 · 11:10

The Willingen Five has been the final rehearsal for the teams before the World Championship.

The Willingen Five took an atypical start: Friday saw a team competition taking place. Poland secured the win followed by Germany and Slovenia. Right afterwards the jumpers got back got back into the track for the qualification.

Saturday's competition was won by Karl Geiger who had already played a crucial role in the German team competition. Behind him, the 4 Hills Champions Kamil Stoch and Ryoyu Kobayashi landed on the podium as well.

The Japanese was then the one to show his strength on Sunday, winning with more than twelve meters advance on – hold on, 4 Hills Tournament Déjà Vu – Markus Eisenbichler. Third place was taken by Piotr Zyla. Kobayashi was then the one to win the Willingen Five overall competition, too.

Now the next stop for the teams is Seebruck where the nordic ski World Championships will take place.
