Kamil Stoch to Retire in 2026
Polish ski jumping legend Kamil Stoch has announced that he will retire from the sport following the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.

Polish ski jumping legend Kamil Stoch has announced that he will retire from the sport following the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina. With three Olympic gold medals to his name, Stoch is among the most successful ski jumpers in history.
Final Season in 2025/26
Speaking to Polish broadcaster TVP, Stoch confirmed that the 2025/26 season will mark the end of his active career. “I don’t want to be like Kasai,” he said, referencing 52-year-old Japanese veteran Noriaki Kasai, who is still competing. “I’ve made that clear.”
Over a career spanning more than two decades, the 36-year-old has achieved nearly everything in ski jumping: three Olympic gold medals, two world championship titles, and multiple major victories – including three overall wins in the prestigious Four Hills Tournament (2016/17, 2017/18, 2020/21) and two World Cup overall titles (2013/14 and 2017/18). A standout moment came in the 2017/18 season when Stoch won all four events in the Four Hills Tournament, achieving the rare “Grand Slam” – a feat only previously accomplished by Germany’s Sven Hannawald.
With 39 World Cup victories, Stoch ranks fourth on the all-time winners list. For some time, he had hinted at a possible retirement, which he has now officially confirmed.
In recent seasons, success has eluded him, with his last World Cup win coming in January 2021 in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany.
A Farewell on the Olympic Stage
Stoch aims to end his illustrious career on a high note. The 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy will serve as his grand farewell, where he hopes to deliver one final peak performance before bowing out of the sport.
