Kobayashi and Lanisek win in Ruka

This weekend the Ski Jumping World Cup had its second stop in Ruka, Finland. Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi and Slovenia's Anze Lanisek were able to triumph.

Saturday - individual jumping

The first individual competition of the weekend was won by Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi with strong 324.5 points. Markus Eisenbichler (304.4 p.) managed to make it to the podium thanks to a good second round, he finished third behind Slovenia's Anze Lanisek (318.9 p.). Karl Geiger finished in 5th place, 34.9 points behind.

Sunday - Individual Jumping

On the second day of competition the previous day's second placed Anze Lanisek celebrated the first World Cup victory of his career with 311.9 points. In turbulent conditions the Slovenian won in the end by a thin margin against Karl Geiger (310.3 p.) from Oberstdorf, who was able to defend the yellow jersey of the overall World Cup leader in a superior way. The good German result was rounded off by Markus Eisenbichler with 305.2 points in a strong third place.
