Wernster Schuster will abandon his post as German head coach at the end of this season.

After eleven years the Austrian will not renew his contract. Speaking during the German team's press conference in Oberstdorf on Thursday, he said: "It has been an incredibly intensive eleven years. Now the time has come to hand over an intact team."
