Forfang finishes first on day one in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Again two Polish jumpers among the top three.

With Dawid Kubacki and Stefan Hula, two athletes from the Polish team made it into the top three again, as they did at the opening competition in Oberstdorf. However, the victory in the qualification was won by Johann Andre Forfang, who made the longest jump of the day with a set of 140.5 metres.
