Sunday - Individual jumping

The ski jumpers had to fight with difficult conditions already in the qualification of the individual competition in Lahti on Sunday. After the qualification was completed with difficulty, the wind conditions were even worse during the competition, which is why the first and finally only round lasted almost two hours.

The best jump of the day was achieved by Ryoyu Kobayashi, who secured first place with 136.5 meters (145.9 points). With 130 meters and 4.1 points less than the Japanese, Stefan Kraft took second place. Karl Geiger completed the podium with 133 meters (137 points).

Sandro Pertile - FIS Race Director - spoke of the most difficult competition of the season. "Fortunately we got through at least one round, which was not pretty, but that's part of our sport," Pertile said.

For the season's conclusion, the team now heads to Planica at the end of the week, where in addition to two individual jumps (Friday and Sunday), another team jump (Saturday) is on the schedule.
