Another full house at Schattenberg

No more tickets available for the competition day at the start of the Four Hills Tournament.

The world's best ski jumpers can once again look forward to a full house on the Schattenberg at the 72nd Four Hills Tournament. As the organizers announced on Wednesday, all tickets for the competition on 29 December in Oberstdorf have already gone on sale this winter. A total of 25,500 people can be accommodated in the World Championship ski jumping arena on the Schattenberg ski jump. The qualification day on December 28 is also already in high demand. Tickets are still available here at www.arena-ticket-allgaeu.de

"The interest is really great. We continue to have a pleasingly high demand for the qualification and are moving towards the spectator record for the qualification from last year," says Georg Geiger, Chairman of the Oberstdorf Ski Club. A year ago, 16,000 visitors came to the qualification - an absolute record in the Ski Jumping World Cup.

The qualification day is a particularly good opportunity for families with children or senior citizens to visit the World Cup ski jumping arena. "This allows them to experience the unique atmosphere in Oberstdorf live, but at the same time it is a little quieter than on the day of the competition," says Florian Stern, Managing Director of Skiclub Oberstdorf Veranstaltungs GmbH.

After the men, it's the women's turn

Anyone who wants to, can get that ski jumping XXL feeling at Schattenberg this winter, as the world's best female ski jumpers will also be making a guest appearance at their 2-night tour in Oberstdorf directly after the men's Four Hills Tournament on December 31 (official training) and January 1 (competition). "We're expecting a great crowd there too, especially because so many people have taken advantage of the combined discount," says Geiger and explains: "Anyone who already has a tour ticket only pays half price for the women's competition."

Many highlights

The Nordic World Cup winter has a lot to offer in Oberstdorf this year anyway. In January and February, the Nordic Combined World Cup (12 to 14 January) and the Ski Flying World Cup on the Heini-Klopfer ski jump (22 to 25 February) are two further event highlights on the program.
