Ryoyu Kobayashi wins the 70th Four Hills Tournament

2022-01-06 · 20:22

For Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi a 5th place at the Epiphany Jumping in Bischofshofen is enough for an unchallenged victory in the overall ranking.

After Kobayashi won the jumps in Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck, he only needed a victory in the last jump in Bischofshofen to go down in tour history as a two-time Grand Slam winner. The 25-year-old Japanese missed this chance due to Daniel Huber's home victory in the Epiphany jumping. Nevertheless, Kobayashi (1162.3 points) was able to win the overall ranking quite clearly ahead of the Norwegians Marius Lindvik (1138.1 p.) and Halvor Egner Granerud (1128.2 p.) and thus secured the golden eagle for the second time in his career.

To the official final results.
