2019-01-14 · 12:23

After six first places in a row Sunday saw a winner that was not Ryoyu "Roy" Kobayashi.

At first, everything seemed to be in the order that ski jumping fans have almost got used to in the last weeks: Ryoyu Kobayashi won the first competiton of Predazzo on Saturday. Already then, though, Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch from Poland completed the podium and were looking for their chance.

It came on Sunday. After six wins in row, Kobayashi flew onto seventh position, thus missing the podium only for the second time this season. Instead, Kubacki was able to celebrate his first career win, followed by the Austrian Stefan Kraft. On third position landed again Kamil Stoch. Consequently, the Polish seem to be in their best shape at the dawn of their home world cup starting in Zakopane this weekend.
